i want

Looks like I'm spending another Halloween in New Orleans.
I like to surf on Austin, TX Craigslist at wee hours of the morning for cute 2 bedroom bungalows.
I imagine myself waking up to my puppy Shiraz & a yummy cup of coffee after consuming way too much bourbon the night before at some awesome show downtown.
This is dreaming.
should i become a crack dealer and stripper on the side??
these days it seems like it's the only way ill make it to austin

Beaux Arts Ball. The Beaux Arts Ball is planned and organized by students from the University of Kentucky’s College of Design and is the largest student-run, non-profit organization in the state of Kentucky. We strive to foster creativity and diversity, and our ultimate goal is to raise money for charity and strengthen the community of Lexington.
The origins of the Beaux Arts Ball traceback to the 19th century. The Architecture community of the Ecole des Beaux Arts hosted the very first ball. This ball’s theme asked for creativity and imagination beyond the scope of tamed human minds. Such wild and taboo activity opened doors for future generations. Almost two hundred years later the celebration continues here in beautiful Lexington.

I drank almost a whole 1/5 of Jim Beam by myself & danced with 1/2 of Lexington until 4am.
The Ball was amazing

I am a young adult that remembers very vividly that it wasn't too long ago that I was rummaging through my mothers closet looking for the tallest heels she owned, or begging her for hours to let me wear her make up to school the next day. It is obvious that I have tried to do my fair share of growing up sooner than time had in mind, but when I came across this photo I was stunned.
This photo portrays these little girls as adults. The idea of growing up, to children, is fascinating and they are willing to do whatever it may take in order to make others believe that they are no longer children. Smoking a cigarette is inherently a very adult act is the factor that really stuck in my mind the first time I stumbled across this. After a few minutes of dissecting the image more closely, the smoking child's body language and behavior hit me the hardest. She looks very comfortable with her behavior, as if she is certain that she will not be reprimanded for her actions. The way her right arm is folded and how she exhales with pride demonstrates that this cigarette break from splashing around in the kiddie pool is not her first, and will not be her last one.
One could also interpret this photo in an entirely different issue. Some might say this photo touches on major issues with younger children in todays society. Maybe the the obesity factor of young children, early drug or tobacco use and even an underlying theme of peer pressure. To me, it looks as if the other young girl who is still sitting in the swimming pool isn't certain whether she should follow suit as her friend puffs away like it's her job. Her facial expressions indicate that she might be confused or just caught in an unusual situation.

I wonder exactly how many people have gotten hit by cars because they were too busy focusing on their ipods??
we're just friends.
he is the kind of friend i don't wish to run into this year.
i'm enjoying 2009 very much without your face, thank you.

i love this.
A little on the last side, but this is still exactly how I feel.
Theres been this warm fuzzy feeling slowly taking me over, swallowing my body whole lately. I have yet to pinpoint the exactly cause of this unfamiliar happiness, but i do have some wild guesses as to why everything is so damn peachy lately...
-I have rediscovered CocoRosie this week.
-I saw my sister after 6 months (oh and no fighting this time!)
-I am pretty much live with the THREE best girls ever.
-Three of my best friends are coming back to Lexington to visit (although they are all short visits, they will be much needed)
-I have realized that people come and go all the time, but if you have made enough of an impact on someone where they think of you every once in a while & pick up the phone to call you, they'll be back someday. maybe not tomorrow or maybe they wont come back here necessarily, but in someway, somewhere, in some form.. you'll meet again.
so as for things that should never be forgotten, but often are: remember to listen to cocorosie because they lighten the mood, dont fight with your siblings because they love you, love your bad girls because roommates CAN be awesome, go home sometimes because home is where the heart is & dont stress it because if it were meant to be they'd back.
